Addison 2.5 and Ella 9 months

Ella is 9 months old! This past week she's been busy...She learned how to crawl backwards and said buh-buh while waving (right on cue while I was videotaping her!). At Easter my family swears she was saying"Ka-la" - that would be funny if her official first word was "Karla" instead of Mom! She said it two times that day and not since-hum!?!

Easter

We had a great Easter weekend. We spent time with Grandpa and Grandma Mauk and aunts, uncles and cousins on Saturday and Grandpa and Grandma Baier and the entire Baier family on Sunday. The girls got to hunt for eggs on both days and had fun with that. Addison loved decorating the eggs this year and Ella loved visiting with the Easter Bunny...Addison not so much. She just walked up to him and said, "Happy Easter-hi!" and kept walking. That was her master plan all along when we'd talk about seeing him. She volunteered Ella to sit on his lap...good thing Ella went along with the plan!

Springtime Fun (It doesn't feel like Spring though!?!)

The girls have not been able to go outside too much with all of this crazy weather but have had so much fun on their new swingset(and will be outside all the time once the weather gets nicer). It will sure be a fun summer ahead!!!

Mall of America Trip

We went to MN for a little mini vacation. We met up with my sister and her family for part of the trip too. It was a fun time. We had fun at the pool at the hotel. The girls had a good time at the mall too. They were troopers while we shopped and got to eat at some of our favorite restaurants. Addison and Ella both enjoyed some of the rides at the mall amusement park and Lego Land. When asked, Addison said her favorite part of the trip was "My bag of candy at the candy store!" She was pretty sad when she finished her last piece of candy:(

Little Sunshines

We were having fun taking pictures of the girls with their matching headbands. The pictures sum up their relationship. Fun, smiles, hair pulls and some hugs!

Fun with the Girls

Winter has been passing us by quickly. Addison is taking swimming lessons which she really enjoys. Ella continues to keep growing and entertaining us with her new tricks. Now that she's 7 months she is saying "Da da da ..." among other things and has a sweet little "voice" which she loves talking to us with. She is eating real food now like bread, fruits and veggies She just started to stand by herself while holding onto things this past week! The girls really still are (maybe in the honeymoon phase???) of loving to "play" with each other. We started giving them baths together. That is fun for both of them and cuts the time of bathing them in half too (bonus for Larry and I too)! Another time saver is Addison has been wearing "big girl undies"since Christmas break and just wears her pull-ups at night...although the other day she managed to put Ella's diaper on her and ran around saying, "I'm a baby!" Never a dull moment these days!
