Baby Baier Meets Donald Driver!

(Donald is thinking, "Oh boy, look at that belly!")

(Karla is screaming, "Oh my god, Donald Driver just rubbed my belly!!!")

Things are going great at 37 weeks! We're all doing great. Our little girl is about 6 lbs (give or take some) the doctor estimates. It's so fun to literally see her body parts roll around in my belly!

Baby Baier had the opportunity to meet Karla's favorite Green Bay Packer, Donald Driver! Let's just say I am lucky I didn't go into labor right then and there when Donald stopped his bike (he was riding back to the stadium after training camp) and said to me, "OH, I just gotta rub that belly!" Yes, he actually got off his bike and rubbed my belly! Check out the before and after pictures of the event. The pictures don't do it justice but as you might imagine, it was quite a scene!

We also wanted to say thanks to all our family and friends who threw and were a special part of our baby showers. We are lucky to have you so many people that care about us so much. Baby Baier was "showered" with so many thoughtful gifts. I think she's spoiled already! That was very thoughtful-thanks again so much!

As our due date approaches, we just can't wait wait to meet our little girl and introduce her to everyone. We'll be sure to update everyone with exciting news hopefully real soon!

We're in Our 3rd Trimester!

It took a bit but we posted the picture from Karla's baby shower they threw us at her school. Things are going great. Baby Baier is practicing her cartwheels and summersaults more than ever! It's so amazing to watch her move all around. At our last dr. apt. her heartbeat was 164 beats per minute. Our dr. said she is a very active little girl!

This month we have some education classes we'll be attending at the hospital to help us feel a bit more prepared. We can't even believe we are in our final trimester already. With that, the heartburn has set in. I thought I might not experience that element but sure enough, I will! It looks like no more spicy food for me! I think Baby Baier was tired of eating brats! We hope everyone is having a great start to their summer.

23 Weeks Along and Kicking!

Some of you have been looking for some belly shots...Enjoy! All is going very well and time is passing so quickly. Karla and Larry (now too) can feel Baby Baier kicking tons. It is just amazing!!!

Karla's co-workers just threw us a baby shower at her school. It was very fun. Karla was dressed up with a tiera and sash that said "Mom to Be"!

Our doctor appointments have been very quick ones. The doctor just weighs me, checks my blood pressure, measures my belly, and the best part is we get to hear the heart beat! We're just so thankful everything is going so well! Until next time...

It's a .......... GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!

The much anticipated addition to our family will be a little girl. Most importantly our little girl is healthy and weighs about 8 ounces.

The new pictures are a few of the many the wonderful ultrasound technicians took for us.

Head profile shot.

Her not so private parts.

She's tired after her photo shoot.

Is it a boy or a girl???

Not that it matters if it's a boy or a girl but we'll be SO very happy either way and can't wait to find out just so we (or Karla mostly) can start shopping like crazy! So at our appointment yesterday the baby's little heart was beating 152 beats per minute. The dr. said that was nice and fast. The best part of the appointment was just knowing the baby was growing and nice and healthy. The next time we'll hear and see our Baby Baier is April 7th. That's when we will no longer have to guess whether it's a boy or girl!

A New Beginning...

On December 28th, 2007 we received our "Christmas Miracle." We had taken two pregnancy tests and gone to the hospital to confirm everything. When the HCG test came back we found out we were indeed pregnant!!! It turns out we were actually 31/2 weeks along.

On January 8th, 2008 we had our very first ultrasound of our little peanut. We could only see the gestational sac. It resembled a jelly bean and at that point we could not see the heart beating yet. It was amazing though!

The most exciting moment was on January 21st when we heard our babies heart beating for the first time at 7 weeks along! The little beating heart was the best sound ever!!! The heartbeat was 148 beats per minute. Our favorite nurse Jean, told us things looked awesome at that point. After this appointment we felt we couldn't wait any longer to tell all our friends and family. Everyone was VERY surprised and so happy for us. We had taped the heartbeat on a Build A Bear sound chip and played the babies beating heart. Then we went to Build A Bear to have a little stuffed animal made for our little Baby Baier!

Our next doctor appointment was February 11th. At 10 weeks, we were so happy because we got to hear the baby's heartbeat again. This time it was on a Doppler machine. The heart was beating 164 beats a minute today.
