Chicago - Friends & Fun

We spent last weekend in Chicago and met up with great friends that we don't get to see often. We also checked out some fun family activities too and made the most of our 3 day weekend. Addison and Ella LOVED shopping at American Girl. Addison has wanted to get her dolls ears pierced for some time so that was especially fun for her. They had fun playing at the Children's Museum and swimming at the hotel. The Jelly Belly Factory was another fun place to visit because candy was involved-what's not to love!?!

ABC's!

I had to grab my camera tonight when I caught Lauren "reading" her ABC book (as she refers to it). Then (ignore my singing...) she/we felt the need to burst out the ABC's:)

Weekend Fun!

The girls were excited to meet a favorite book character, Pete the Cat at the Building for Kids this weekend.

During Ella and Lauren's nap time, Addison and I hit the roller rink! It was a blast from the past. We went with some friends and had a fun time. Addison wasn't the most graceful skater by any means but she skating non-stop for 3 hours and loved it all - the disco ball, music and skating!

This little one-year old LOVES her arts and crafts just like her big sisters. She got really caught up in this particular project! Her sisters (while they were all painting) got a glimpse of her and then started belly laughing as they watched her give her own cheeks hand prints! The video of this would have been sweet to share but I was lucky enough to just grab the camera to capture this moment.

We had a great time preparing for the holiday season as well as a very nice Christmas. Larry and I have off with the girls through New Year's Day and are enjoying all the time with our family and friends.
